Here at The Collective we don't just sell jewellery, we can teach you to make your own! Our sister brand, Silver Works, is host to a variety of workshops and courses designed for the complete beginner to the more advanced students that take place on a daily basis across three workshops within our lovely shared building here on Drury Street. 
 Silver Works is a group of experienced Jewellers who teach fun, interactive workshops & courses in the heart of Dublin’s Creative Quarter. Have you ever wanted to make your own silver ring? Look no further! The most popular workshop teaches you to forge your own silver ring! It's held up to 20 times per week.

Forge A Silver Ring Workshop - €80 per person

Learn the basics of silver-smithing from sawing, soldering, filing, hammering and polishing to create your own beautiful, handmade silver ring! 
  
 Every ring is individual, you can choose from 3 different textures – or combine them to make it even more unique! You even get to choose the finish you want – matt or shiny.
  
The result is a stunning handmade gift for yourself or a loved one! Not to mention learning the basics of an incredible, ancient craft.
    

 

Make Your Own Claddagh Ring Workshop - €114 per person

A Claddagh Ring is a traditional Irish ring in which a heart represents love, the crown stands for loyalty and the two clasped hands symbolize friendship. 
   
 In the workshop you will begin with a Claddagh Ring strip  and you will learn basic gold smithing skills to transform this into a beautiful, made to measure Claddagh Ring that you will be proud to say you made yourself.
   

 

Carve Your Own Ring From Wax - €99 per person

Learn the ancient art of lost wax casting in our brand new 2.5 hour workshop.
You will carve your own ring on the day and it will then be sent off to be cast into sterling silver. The ring will come back approximately 2 weeks later and our team of goldsmiths will then finish the ring for you, by sanding and polishing it.
  Cost includes carving, casting and clean up of your ring, tea/ coffee, snacks and expert tuition. 
 

 

Forge Your Own Bangle Workshop - €150 per person

Master the skill of forging your own Bangle from a 3mm piece of sterling silver in our 4 hour workshop! It's like a ring but bigger and better!
  
Be as creative as you like regarding the texture or choose from some of our pre-selected textured bangle samples.  After 4 hours you will have a learned an array of skills and techniques needed to move into one of our courses!

  

Introduction to Metal Clay Workshop - €95 per person

Metal clay is a magical medium that starts out as soft clay that can be shaped and moulded into a unique design and then when it is fired it turns into real fine silver! Join us on an exploration of this unusual medium and find out its endless possibilities.
  
 In this 3 hour class you will design and create your own personalised two tier charm in metal clay. Choose from different textures and shapes and stamp an initial on your charm to make it unique for you. Your finished piece will be fine silver.
 

 

Wedding Ring Workshop - €365 per couple

Delight in the experience of a lifetime when you create your dream rings in a 4 hour workshop! One of our most popular Jewellery making classes. 
   Sip on a cold, complementary Prosecco while our experts guide you through the process, bringing your love to life in the symbol of a ring.
 

 

 

 
We will teach you to make a charm that will be handmade by you! Add it to your necklace to wear as a pendant or add it to your charm bracelet as a keepsake of a time well spent!
 
 
Make a Shamrock Charm Workshop - €80 per person
 
Come and make your very own shamrock charm at our studio. We will teach you the metal smithing process of creating a shamrock charm in sterling silver and you can personalise your charm with different textures and adding an initial to the disc.
 
Our professional teachers will be here to guide you along the way and you will leave with a beautiful handmade shamrock charm to cherish forever.
 
 
One Day Gemstone Setting Class - €150 per person
 
Our One Day Gemstone Setting Class is the perfect place to start if you want to try your hand at Jewellery design and making or have done previous courses and want to develop your skills further!
 
 
Make a Spinner Ring Workshop - €150 per person
 
Did you know a spinner ring is also known as fidget/stress/anxiety rings due to the moving centre being very calming to play with throughout the day? Here is the opportunity to create your own special one from scratch in our NEW spinner ring workshop! You’ll be proud to say that you handmade this complex ring yourself in one day’s work! 
 
 
 
In this fun and flexible course you will learn how to make a ring or pendant in sterling silver and how to set a gemstone into your design using the Bezel setting method!
 
It’s open to all learning stages so it’s really your own project with the help and guidance of our experienced tutor who will be there to guide and support you with her extensive knowledge.
 
   
7 Week Design & Make Tuesdays - €390 per person
 
As they say, the best way to learn is by doing! So simply sketch out your ideas and email or bring them in to us in the first class and we will help you make them. The end result being jewellery designed & made by yourself. 
 
This course is designed for those who already have some experience jewellery making, so have a few basic skills already, but want to practice and learn more.
 
 
 
Across the weekend you will learn the basic level of jewellery making through the process of designing and making your own pendant and a pair of earrings.
 Extra techniques such as Keum Boo, doming metal and creating a bezel setting for a cabochon will also be taught over the two days.
 
 
Weekend Wax Carving Course - €350 per person
 
Bring your sketch idea of a ring or a pendant to life via wax! This weekend course is perfect for either beginners or those looking to learn more skills in the wax carving process – an alternative approach to making jewellery. 
  
 Spend your Saturday & Sunday perfecting your wax masterpiece with guidance from our experienced teachers. Your piece will be sent for casting, in the metal of your choice, and you can come back two weeks later to learn about cast clean ups and bring your masterpiece to a full finish!
