Mar Cucurella

This is the love story of the Mar Cucurella’s workshop with designing jewellery, with gold, silver and other fine materials.

45 years ago, in the spring of 1967, Ignasi Cucurella ventured to find a workshop right in the middle of Barcelona’s old town and install his jewellery table and his torch.

Ignasi and Montserrat, his wife, started working, imagining and creating. They filled a suitcase with original and different jewel pieces and, as if they were playing, they took to the street and started selling their precious pieces.

Working non-stop, in 1997 they launched a new collection in silver – completely black – combined with gold and with which they presented in Novajoia.

It was a little revolution; the beginning of a change that started with a few pieces, that were increasing by the day and which gave place to the current collections.

Now Mar Cucurella, Ignasi and Montserrat’s daughter has been in charge of the workshop since 2009. She is still working with the same love and dedication as her parents did.

A love story of gold and silver that lives forever in the new generation.
