Designer Spotlight: Sandra Hartwieg
Combining contemporary design with the historical tradition of Irish metalwork, Sandra Hartwieg makes jewellery from recycled silver and gold.
Sandra established her jewellery brand in 2018 after completing a BA in Fine Art at NCAD, as well as the DCCI’s Jewellery and Goldsmithing Skills and Design Course.
Simple geometric forms, mixed metals and intricate textures are common threads throughout her collections.
Sandra’s minimal jewellery style is inspired by working directly with materials in the workshop. Geometric forms are assembled and then contrasted with patterns imprinted onto metal.
Sandra’s jewellery is inspired by the ancient universal language of geometry. Her jewellery captures little pieces of the world’s beauty and transforms it into everyday wearable jewellery.
All Sandra’s pieces are handmade in Ireland.
