Down the road from her childhood home she spent many sunny afternoon playing in a field that held one of these historical monuments, a ring fort or also known as a fairy fort. It is the patterns in the landscape that these manmade historical monuments made that inspired this large pendant. The intricate detail mimics the hilly fields and the monumental forts that can be seen throughout the Irish countryside.
